Job overview

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS  DUE TO FUNDING.  

To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and assist in maintaining and improving the health and independence of each patient during their attendance and admission to the detox ward. They will contribute to the operation and the development of clinical services which will meet the needs of patients who have identified and diagnosed issues with substance misuse, as well as physical and mental health issues.

Undertake required documentation and clinical assessments. Ensuring clear and effective communication with substance misuse medical staff and community team members.

Achieve preceptorship sign off.

Main duties of the job

There is an opportunity for a part time substance misuse nurse to work within the field of addictions within the in-patient service on ward F NPT Hospital..

The substance misuse service will benefit from having the support from the Nurse in providing high levels of clinical advice and care on complex cases, develop effective care plans for patients undergoing treatment for their specific dependency, as well as assisting in specific clinical projects, audits and research and training.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
