Newcastle Treatment & Recovery (NTaR) currently has a Band 6 vacancy for an experienced professional to work full time in a service offering support to those experiencing substance misuse difficulties. The job sits in Newcastle Treatment and Recovery Service based at Plummer Court Newcastle.

NTaR is a partnership between CNTW, Humankind and Changing Lives. We are an integrated team comprising nurses, social workers, recovery co coordinators and Consultant Psychiatrists delivering high quality, evidenced based care. CNTW was CQC rated outstanding on last inspection.

This post sits within the Children and Young Adults aspect of care and the post holder will deliver psychologically based interventions to a caseload of clients aged under 24.  

The post holder will have a professional qualification; Registered Nurse (RMN /RGN/ RNMH or RNLD) Social Work, OT or clinical psychologist, other. The post holder will have post registration clinical experience, excellent interpersonal skills and understand the importance of engagement with not only the client but their families and those others providing care.
