Are you a HCPC registered radiographer looking to gain experience in nuclear medicine?
 
An opportunity has arisen to join the nuclear medicine team at University Hospital of Hartlepool on a fixed term basis for 12 months.  The department performs approximately 4,000 adult and paediatric nuclear medicine imaging, non-imaging and therapy investigations each year.  SPECT-CT is undertaken in an expanding number of examinations and there is an on-site radiopharmacy.  After a period of induction, working pattern will be a fixed 9:45 – 1800, Monday-Friday, although some flexibility is essential to the post.

This is a fixed term post that will provide the successful applicant an excellent opportunity to work with a friendly multi-disciplinary team to gain experience in nuclear medicine imaging.  

The successful applicant will ensure that high quality patient centred care is provided and accurate, high quality nuclear medicine and SPECT-CT images are acquired.  Further development opportunities with the department may be available.

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography – three-year programme or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience

  • A comprehensive CPD portfolio
  • Relevant IT competency and in-depth knowledge of Radiology Information System
  • Working knowledge of all relevant professional and NHS policies and procedures
  • A working knowledge of radiation protection and methods of reducing patient radiation dose
