An excellent opportunity has arisen at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals for an experienced, enthusiastic and suitably qualified professional to join our team of B7 Superintendent Radiographers.

The successful candidate will have broad experience, knowledge and understanding in the field of research with extensive knowledge of the guidelines relating to research imaging. The successful post holder will have line manager and service responsibility for a small team of Research Radiographers and as such, good organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential. Experience of managing staff and services and involvement in equipment procurement would be an advantage.

The post holder will work closely with the Trusts Clinical Research Directorate and the wider multidisciplinary team, working on a diverse portfolio of studies. The post holder will also be responsible for promoting research within the Radiology Directorate and wider Trust to deliver high quality research activity to support patient care. The role requires flexibility in order to maintain service provision in both Research and routine diagnostic imaging.

There would be a requirement to operate a wide range of imaging equipment once appropriate training and or equipment competency has been completed. A working knowledge of Trust policies and procedures would be required.
