Senior Cardiac Physiologist, CRM

Job overview

As part of the Cardiac Investigations Team, you will be expected to have trained in the full range of invasive, non-invasive, and therapeutic cardiology procedures. This would include working in the cath lab, holter and BP monitoring and reporting, tilt tests, and exercise tolerance testing, involved with CRM implants and follow up clinics.

This role will give you the opportunity to be involved with new and advanced technologies and training and a commitment to continued professional development.

You will have the opportunity to work co-operatively with other professions and disciplines to encourage and develop a multidisciplinary approach to cardiac care.

You will also be expected to participate in the on-call rota.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP. 

Main duties of the job

  1. Qualified Cardiac Physiologist, knowledgeable in Invasive and Non-Invasive cardiac diagnostic techniques. 
  2. Experienced working independently as a Cardiac Physiologist in Cath Lab environment.
  3. Have a passion to specialize in all CRM procedures and techniques. 
  4. Supporting device implant and follow-up procedures.
  5. To ensure diagnostic tests are performed in accordance with protocols, and data and diagnostic reports containing a range of complex facts and measurements are accurate and produced in a timely manner

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • To be competent to document patient data for investigations undertaken within the department, ensuring that all data is accurate and processed in a timely manner and produced in the appropriate report format.
  • To ensure the highest levels of concentration and accuracy to complete tasks and interpret results.
  • Undertake further training as required for both professional development and service provision and be actively involved in clinical governance of service and service development.
  • To work towards achieving BHRS accreditation if not aready accreditated.
  • To participate in departmental on call rota.
  • To undertake any other duties, in accordance with the grade and nature of the post, as required by the Service Manager.
