Main duties of the job

As a Cardiology medical Secretary you will have an eye for detail, a strong team working ethic and be passionate about providing excellent service for our patients. You will be responsible for all admin duties within the Cardiology admin service.  You will also proactively track patients throughout their pathways until they are diagnosed and have had their first treatment and any subsequent treatments. A significant proportion of this role includes KPI’s for the admin service and this needs to be done with great accuracy

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Referral management
  • Waiting list Management
  • E-referrals, External and Internal referrals ASI, Triaging of referrals
  • Clinic management and utilisation, ensuring the reasons as to why clinics are reduced cancelled etc.
  • Organising extra clinics where necessary.
  • Escalations to management team if there are backlogs due to capacity and monitoring of horizon levels across the clinics.
  • Monitoring of Trackers
  • Cashing up of clinics , out-come management , suspensions , lost to follow-up and other data quality issues.
  • Typing target.
  • Monitoring of weekly reports
