Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join the expanding Frailty Service at George Eliot Hospital. Applications are welcome from Band 2/3 Therapy Assistants or healthcare practitioners with an interest in Frailty and Therapy.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • George Eliot has an excellent people development service with extensive CPD opportunities both trust led and provided by external providers with participation supported and encouraged by the Therapy leadership team.
  • In joining this team you will have the opportunity to be a part of the service development within frailty and be part of the Therapy Team delivering care across front door frailty and a dedicated acute frailty unit
  • The successful candidate will join a Team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, who work alongside a wider MDT including Consultants, Physician Associates and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
  • The postholder may be required to work across 7 days, to meet the needs of the service.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience working in healthcare/NHS
  • Keyboard skills with ability
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience working as Therapy Assistant within the acute setting

Qualifications

  • English and Maths to GCSE level ‘C’ or equivalent
  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent practical experience/competencies
