Job overview
SWFT Clinical Services Limited are looking for Registered Nurses to join our bank staff within our private patient unit, The Grafton Suite, at Stratford Hospital in at Stratford-upon-Avon. The position will be offered on a zero-hour contract basis with shifts usually falling Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
We welcome registered candidates from all nursing background, however theatre experience in advantageous.
Main duties of the job
SWFT Clinical Services Limited is seeking a Registered Nurses to work within The Grafton Suite at Stratford Hospital in Stratford-upon-Avon.
We are looking for a NMC registered nurses with a range of interests and experience, including ophthalmology and dermatology, to join our Bank staffing team
Theatre experience is preferred, and experience of working in a healthcare environment is essential, to deliver a high standard of nursing care to day patients undergoing surgical or medical treatment
Shifts will usually be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

SWFT Clinical Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). The company provides a number of services such as outpatient pharmacy facilities at Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, George Eliot, University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and St Cross (Rugby) hospitals; estates and facilities management at Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and Ellen Badger hospitals, Acorn House and Lillington Health Hub; private patient service and consultancy services to NHS Trusts.
Subject to the Company and individual’s performance, an annual discretionary bonus will be awarded.
There is automatic enrolment to the Company pension scheme, with the Company contributing 5%.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Ensure clinic is set up to achieve optimum client and consultant satisfaction at all times, i.e. waiting room and consulting rooms set up for appropriate clinics and theatre prepared for procedures as required.
Ensure patients’ notes are maintained and kept up to date. Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time, provide information and reports in a concise manner.
Promptly communicate issues to the Clinic Manager.
Carry out diagnostic procedures as required, e.g. OCT, visual field, etc. after full training.
Carry out pre-operative assessments as required.
Carry out administrative tasks as required such as ordering consumables, equipment and medicines and maintains electronic patient records.
Prepare charge sheets.
Ensure patient notes are maintained and kept up to date.
Maintains a professional network for the sharing of ideas, advice, information and peer support.
Assists with reviewing processes, including customer satisfaction (and the prompt and effective response to complaints), value for money, response to incidents, errors and product alerts to enable improvements/changes in practice. Reports these to the Clinic Manager.
Maintains excellent working relationships and good communications with staff and patients and consultants.
Ensures confidentiality of commercial and clinical information which may relate to patients, staff, Company policies, prices and business information, and takes account of the requirements of General Data Protection Regulation and Freedom of Information Act regulation.
Attends meetings as required by the Company.
Manages their own personal development.
Maintains NMC registration.
Adheres to Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and all other relevant legislation.
Any other relevant duties at the request of the Clinic Manager or Senior Nurse.
Follow good infection prevention and control practices in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Code of Practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance.
