Probationary Period
All new staff to the Trust will be subject to a standard 6 month probationary period, the details of which will duly follow in your contract of employment.

Agile and Flexible Working
All our staff will have a work base. However the Trust operates as an Agile Working Team therefore staff may be working from home on a regular basis as required by the service. However, occasionally travel around Warwickshire and into your base will be required so access to your own transport would be helpful.

Job overview
This post will involve working as part of a team of doctors covering the specialties of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Opportunities are available to attend day surgery and main theatre lists as well as working in Gynaecology emergency inpatients, labour ward and our post natal ward.
To support the Inpatient and elective service, including operative theatre lists for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Warwick Hospital.
To support the Outpatient workload with duties including antenatal and gynaecology clinics.
Research, Education, Audit and Continuing Professional Development
a. To take responsibility for continuing professional education in accordance with guidelines set out by the appropriate college/faculty/professional body.
b. To initiate and participate in research and audit programmes in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
c. To work in collaboration with colleagues in developing skills to provide new ways of working across different professions, organisations i.e. community/primary care.
Main duties of the job
To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care.
To be able to work flexibly, and cross cover for colleagues.
To take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
To contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development.
To contribute to the research and development of the department.
To provide cover for colleagues as appropriate and in accordance with local Trust arrangements and Trust Policy.
To observe the Trust’s agreed policies and procedures

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide medical care to patients as required ensuring that the appropriate standards of care are delivered through a multidisciplinary and Hospital at Night team.
To maintain patient confidentiality and ensure that personal access to information systems is secure from others.
To maintain a safe environment for patient and colleagues.
To ensure that accurate records of care are maintained and that information is accurately and appropriately communicated to other professionals as required.
To attend the whole range of clinical delivery settings (EPAGU, OPD, Labour ward, Theatres, Wards etc.)

Qualified to undertake on-call work on the SPR Tier
