We’re a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England. We’re looking for people to help us provide high quality services for the patients, carers and local communities we serve.
We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.
Are you interested in becoming a peer support worker so you can use your lived experience to help others in their recovery? Would you like the opportunity to develop your skills with full training and support in the role?
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust runs inpatient mental health services across Sussex. As part of our ambition to deliver outstanding care we are looking to recruit Peer Support Workers at several sites:
- Langley Green Hospital
The Peer Support Worker roles are a vital part of our plan to continually improve the service that we provide and are aimed at people who have lived experience of using mental health services. We are looking for people who can use their experience of mental distress, recovery and use of peer networks to inspire and connect with others.
Please note that this is a Trainee post joining an apprenticeship programme for 18 months. It will start at £6.94 per hour for the first year.
If you already have experience and a Level 2 Health and Social Care award (Adult care), the apprenticeship would not be required.
There is a full time role available, but job shares will be considered.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
