We are looking for someone:

This is a key role and offers an exciting opportunity for someone with enthusiasm and dedication to the raising of standards. You must be able to demonstrate a passion for driving with an associated standard of driving ability as well as a thorough knowledge of the Highway Code. Evidence of driving a range of vehicles would be desirable but not essential.

Please note: The interview and selection process will be rigorous and extensive due to the high-risk nature of the job responsibilities. You will be expected to have full working knowledge of the highway code, road craft & exemptions/non exemptions afforded for use to an emergency driver. Theoretical, practical examinations & assessments will form part of the interview, including commentary. All assessments and examinations are undertaken in accordance with the award body assessment criteria.

Qualifications

Full UK Diving License including C1 Classification held for 3 years, maximum 3 penalty points
Future Qual Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving, held for at least 3 years with recent experience.
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing vocational Achievements or equivalent
Police Officers that hold an Emergency Response Driving Certificate or Police Advanced Driver certificate, minimum 3 years recent experience.
Level 4 Future Qual Ambulance Driving Instructional qualification (deradi)
Must be an ADI approved driving instructor

Level 5 Professional certificate in Education (DTTLS) or working towards
Department and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Registered FLEET Driver Trainer – or working towards

Knowledge

Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
