Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person with excellent communication and organisation skills to provide administration support to the Wealden Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.
In this role you will be providing support to our clinicians, including updating patient information, creating diary appointments, transcribing clinical letters, sending prescriptions and correspondence to GPs and general administration duties. The role will also provide cover when needed to our reception team.
The ability to work as part of a team is essential and you will need experience of working in an office environment. Communication skills will also prove vital to the role as you will have contact with patients, health care providers and staff.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential and previous experience working in a healthcare setting and using patient information systems would be advantageous.
The role is for 18.75 hours per week, days to be agreed. There will be some limited travel between our two bases, St Mary's Eastbourne and Millwood, Uckfield.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
· To produce from audio and typed notes, word processed letters to a high standard of presentation and accuracy using appropriate Trust templates, in line with Trust guidelines.
· Updating patient information records, including amending contact details, inserting consent to share details and uploading of documentation.
· Provide general administration support including, photocopying and scanning documents, uploading information onto the patient information system, post duties and sending documents to Pharmacies and GP surgeries
· When required to cover reception, taking calls and transferring them to relevant service and or staff member, ensuring clear information is taken and forwarded.

The Wealden Neighbourhood Mental Health Team includes Psychiatrists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Support Workers and General Mental Health Practitioners. There are 11 administration staff supporting the service based at St Mary's Eastbourne and Millwood, Uckfield.

Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 or equivalent
- RSA 3 or equivalent experience and evidence of further practical experience or equivalent
- Good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent
