We’re a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England. We’re looking for people to help us provide high quality services for the patients, carers and local communities we serve.
We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the adult specialist mental health services in Cavendish house in Hastings for an experienced Psychologist/ Psychotherapist to take up a Principal Psychology leadership role in the Psychology service. This role involves contributing towards the operational leadership of the psychology service including overseeing the referral process and supervising a large number of clinical and counselling psychologists. There will also be an opportunity to support the whole multi-disciplinary team through team development sessions that the current post holder runs or to develop another special interest in relation to the teams. You will work closely with an experienced Consultant Psychologist who has been leading the team for 15 years. The Psychology service sits within a large multi-disciplinary Assessment and treatment service and is a respected and valued part of the service.
The service provides consultation, formulation and a range of therapies alongside broader involvement in developing psychological thinking across the ATS. The Post holder will lead a weekly peer supervision group and regular education and reflective practice sessions. This is a supportive and containing team and we will be looking for someone who enjoys team working and leadership. We have very good links with the Salomons and Surrey training courses and always have 2 or 3 trainees per year joining our service. There are good opportunities for learning and development and research as the Trust has strong links with both Sussex and Brighton universities. Hastings is a creative, artistic seaside town with a strong music scene and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Do come and have a look.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
