Job overview
We are recruiting for qualified Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the East Sussex NHS Talking Therapies service who has a desire to make a difference and want to further their knowledge, skill and experience in a supportive and progressive environment. You must be registered with the BABP or BPS.
Health in Mind is an NHS Talking Therapies service providing evidence-based treatments for people with depression and/or a range of anxiety-based difficulties within primary care. Please see our website for further information on https://www.healthinmind.org.uk/.
We will consider applications from those that wish to work flexibly and are open to discussions around remote and home working. We cover the whole of East Sussex (with the exception of Brighton and Hove) and the successful applicant will be assigned to a more specific geographical locality upon appointment.
Main duties of the job
Health in Mind is a large primary care mental health service that serves the people of East Sussex, with the exception of Brighton and Hove. You will be working within a defined geographical area (to be determined upon appointment), delivering telephone or Online video appointments as well as some face to face appointments where needed, although flexibility in appointment types can be discussed at interview.
As a Senior PWP practitioner in Health in Mind you will be supporting the PWP Team Lead with development and implementation of service improvement plans and performance monitoring. You will also be responsible for the clinical supervision and case management of both trainee and qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. You will receive support from our Senior Clinicians and your team lead in the form of case management and clinical supervision

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
· To provide case management and clinical supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and
Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners
· To maintain high professional standards and attend clinical and managerial supervision
· To support the PWP Team Lead in managing the waiting lists and systems for Step 2
assessments and interventions.
· To ensure accurate maintenance of clinical records and outcome measures on the clinical data
system, and support staff in maintaining accurate records.
· To ensure patient satisfaction questionnaires and service reviews are completed
- To support the implementation of step care model of delivery of psychological interventions
to clients within a primary care setting in line with NICE guidelines.
- To work with the PWP Lead in the ongoing development and support of best practice and
innovation within the Step 2 Team.
- To provide high volume low intensity short term treatments in accordance with the TTAD model
- To undertake initial assessments and gather sufficient information to assess risk /complexity of
clients' needs, including drug and alcohol use, current and past medical psychiatric history, and biosocial aspects of the clients situation, making onward referral as necessary..
- To be responsible for ensuring own and others clinical practice complies with Data Protection /
Confidentiality / Caldicott Principles
- To manage a balanced workload of individual therapy for clients with the management and
- leadership roles of this post.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Post Graduate/Graduate Certificate in Psychological Wellbeing Practice (Low intensity)
- A qualification or substantial experience in Professional Supervision
- PWP Registration with the BABCP or BPS
Desirable criteria
- A degree related to Mental Health e.g. Psychology or equivalent training and experience.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
