Consultant Clinical Scientist (Medical Physicist): Nuclear Medicine
NHS AfC: Band 8c
Trosolwg o'r swydd
HCPC Registered or imminently Registered Clinical Scientists specialising in Nuclear Medicine (including flexible workers) should apply for this 8c post supporting Nuclear Medicine at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. Those less qualified or experienced may be appointed between bands 7 & 8b. At the lower end career progression (e.g. MPE/RWA/RPA portfolio) will be strongly encouraged, supported & expected.
This is a great opportunity for your development. We are a licensed MHRA manufacturing site & provide a very wide range of diagnostic tests & some therapies. Our friendly team of doctors, pharmacists, technicians, nurses & physicists greatly encourages multidisciplinary working with for example support & training available for reporting myocardial perfusion scintigraphy alongside consultants. We currently have 2 SPECT-CT gamma cameras, one of which will be replaced & upgraded very soon with scope for optimisation & protocol expansion. We are always working to provide new services. Further development of the PET-CT service & therapies with additional radionuclides are currently being considered. Experience of working with PET-CT would be an advantage.
Bradford has many cultural attractions (e.g., The Alhambra theatre, The National Science & Media Museum & various music venues) & is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales national park with the Lake District only 2 hours away & so is ideal for outdoor pursuits including hill walking, caving, paragliding, fell running & wild swimming.
