An exciting opportunity has arisen for a communications assistant with good general communications skills, strong administrative skills and a keen interest in digital and social media.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to learn more about working in the busy and varied world of communications with a forward-looking company that directly supports the NHS frontline. 

Main duties of the job

Working for AGH Solutions Ltd, a company owned by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, you will be able to write well and produce engaging content for the company’s website, intranet site and across a range of social media. 

Other duties will include writing copy for internal and external newsletters, supporting events, managing media and creating visual communications. The ability to make short videos would be an advantage.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level in a related area (communications; marketing; PR; journalism) or equivalent work experience in a communications/marketing environment
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in the PR/marketing/journalism fields.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of media handling.
  • Experience of working with complex, confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience of working with a wide range of people at all levels, developing relationships and providing a responsive communications service.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience within the NHS/civil service/public sector.
  • Experience of making videos/animations.
