AGH Solutions is looking for a Senior Decontamination Services Technician for a full time post within Airedale Hospital. We are looking for a enthusiastic, motivating person to join our team of staff.

Main duties of the job
|
To assist the Decontamination Services Manager to ensure that stock is maintained at agreed levels and to raise orders as necessary and to ensure that stock is properly accommodated and rotated. |
|
To maintain the Decontamination Services repairs system. |
|
To assist in the promotion of quality within all areas of Decontamination Services using modern methods of quality management, audit and process control. |
|
To work closely and support the Decontamination Services Quality Officer. |
|
Manages decontamination records in own area of work. |
|
Provide a high quality and timely service to all customers. |
|
Plan your own workload and work with minimal supervision. |
|
The role involves exposure to blood and bodily fluids. |

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge in decontamination/or GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above
Desirable criteria
- Isopharm - On line Decontamination Certificate
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Experience in all sections of the Decontamination Services Department
- Understands the concept and management of urgent/priority medical devices and non-conformances
- Experience of supporting less experienced/qualified staff
- Experience using decontamination equipment
- Can demonstrate the ability of work to strict standards of quality and safety
Skills/Competencies
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication skills, relate to colleagues in an effective and positive manner on routine matters
- Use of Word and PC systems including operation of Windows-based software, and keyboard skills
- Understands the fundamentals of data quality, data protection and the confidential use of patient information
Desirable criteria
- Use of department tracking information systems
