Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Admin/Clerical Assistant to join us and provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support within our Anticoagulation and Thrombosis Team.

Applicants should be experienced, with strong organizational, IT and excellent interpersonal skills, as timely and effective communication with patients and colleagues is essential part of the role. 

The role is both busy and demanding, however you will be part of a team where everyone’s contribution is valued and you will be supported in your personal and professional development.

If you have a minimum of 1 year administration experience, are educated to NVQ 3 or equivalent experience and are able to demonstrate the skills and qualities above; please apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Anticoagulation and Thrombosis specialist nurses.

This will involve answering the phone, providing information to patients and carers, receiving referrals and making appointments. Checking the email inbox and answering queries.

You will the first point of contact for patients and other health care professionals and good communication skills are essential. You will also need to be able to take clear and concise notes to ensure that essential information is passed onto the clinical team.
