Service Manager Cancer
Band 8b
Applications for this role should be written by the applicant. If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used, then the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process. This does not prevent applicants seeking appropriate support with applications should they need to for the purposes of any declared disability.
Job overview
This role is a key role in the delivery of the national Cancer Plan here at Salisbury Hospital, and part of the BSW Hospitals Group. As the Cancer Services Manager you will be responsible for the coordination, oversight and implementation of our cancer services transformation programme, while ensuring SFT meets the requirements of national performance reporting and analysis.
This role requires well developed team working and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams covering all tumour sites and cancer related specialities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide Trust-wide leadership, in partnership with the Clinical Lead for Cancer and the Lead Cancer Nurse to oversee the development and delivery of cancer services across the Trust, and in the context of wider services for the population served.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) and clinical divisional management teams in delivering both divisional and corporate Trust objectives. This includes leadership of strategic projects for the Trust across the range of cancer sites and services, often with partners outside of SFT.
