The Cardiac Investigation Unit (CIU) and the Cardiac Suite at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a receptionists/ administrators to join their team. We have vacancies for full or part time to meet the needs of the service and the hours of the departments listed.
As a CIU/Cardiac Suite Receptionist you will be part of a forward thinking team, assisting in providing a reception and administrative service including responding to patients and staff face to face and via telephone, receiving patients in for their planned investigations and procedures. You will be responsible for booking their tests and appointments that come from internal and external referrers.
The CIU is a department that supports with diagnostic tests that aid the patient journey and the Suite supports and treats patients with acute, urgent and long term cardiology conditions.

Main duties of the job
To provide an excellent reception and administration service within the Cardiology Departments including Cardiac Investigation Unit and the Cardiac Suite.
Welcome and greet patients and visitors into the department, recording attendance and departure on Lorenzo (Electronic Patient Record) and establish which area they are to be seen in and redirect as appropriate.
To deal with telephone inquiries in a polite, helpful and courteous manner whilst making sure that patient confidentiality is maintained.
To assist in the administrators in managing referrals and booking of patients.
