Essential criteria

The CSM will be an allied health professional or first level registered nurse with a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Nursing with evidence of continuing professional development to masters level or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ experience at Band 6 working in acute areas or in an operational leadership role.

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria

Excellent level of organisational skills.
Good analytical skills and confident to mitigate risks appropriately
Knowledge of current issues in relation to nursing and health care.
Advanced keyboard skills and ability to use multi IT systems.

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
