Are you a motivated individual to join our SACT day unit ?
We are looking for someone to begin or increase their Haematology or Oncology experience and wants to work within this rewarding environment.
We care for patients with a wide range of solid tumour and haematology disorders. We administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment and supportive therapies. The unit is also made up of a haematology ward, haem and onc outpatient clinics.
Main duties of the job
This post will be working to support the existing team in the safe delivery of holistic care to a wide range of cancer patients undergoing treatments.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with an enthusiasm to care for oncology/haematology patients and to undertake their SACT training. The applicant should have excellent communication skills. SACT training will be given as well as venepuncture and care of central venous access devices if not previously undertaken.
The successful candidate will be flexible to meet the increasingly complex needs of the service and be able to work effectively within a small team.
