Job overview
An exciting opportunity to join a committed and dynamic team within the Family and Specialist Services (FASS) Division at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the effective operational delivery of the divisional Maternity and Neonatal Portfolio. They will have a varied and extensive role as a member of the wider Divisional Management Team (DMT) contributing to the strategic leadership and direction of the division.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who has the ability to successfully engage with a broad range of teams, disciplines and staff across the Division. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership, operational management, strategic business planning and project management to help ensure that Maternity and Neonatal services deliver and achieve performance, quality, safety and efficiency objectives, whilst delivering high standards of patient care.
You will have experience at service management level, experience of successfully delivering projects and will have led your teams to deliver high quality, cost effective patient care.
Main duties of the job
- To ensure that the Division's services are delivered to plan within available resources, and to assured quality and safety standards.
- To be responsible for coordinating and promoting the integration of operational management, service planning and service delivery processes of the Division, to achieve agreed services levels.
- To work with the Divisional Management Team to use available resources effectively, efficiently and within agreed budgets.
- To lead on, and be responsible for the development of strategies and business plans for the Division by ensuring that there are robust systems for performance management and quality governance in place.
- To provide leadership which enables the delivery of high quality, safe and person centred care through the engagement and empowerment of others

Essential criteria
- 3-years senior NHS management
- Evidence of successful delivery against NHS operational performance standards
- Evidence of continuous improvement and service development methodology
- Evidence of leadership and line managerial capability
- Postgraduate Degree or relevant experience to Masters' level 2
Desirable criteria
- Further evidence of management/leadership training and continuous professional development
- Experience of workforce planning
- Evidence of networking/working across healthcare systems - public and private sector
