Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the Pembroke Admin Team in the position of Chemotherapy Scheduler on a 23month contract. The aim of this post is to provide an efficient and comprehensive booking and scheduling service for patients receiving anti-cancer treatment on the Pembroke unit and the Mobile Cancer Care Unit which includes chemotherapy regimes. The postholder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and supporting departments and will be supervised within well defined parameters of responsibility. 

Main duties of the job

  • To provide timely and accurate scheduling of anti-cancer treatment using a bespoke system
  • To respond efficiently to email and telephone queries from patients, multidisciplinary teams and other health care professionals
  • To work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines, prioritising own workload quickly and accurately
  • To work as part of the team, with both the direct Pembroke, Oncology and Haematology admin teams and within the wider clinical and multidisciplinary team

  • Educated to GCSE English Language Grade C or above

Experience
