Specialist Optometrist

Band 7

Trosolwg o'r swydd

It is an exciting time to join our team as a specialist optometrist at Salisbury District Hospital Eye clinic.  We pride ourselves in being a small, friendly department, with real drive to improve both patient care and the working environment for our staff.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Optometrist complementing and supporting our clinical teams to provide innovative, optometric care.

Our diagnostic hub in Salisbury city centre has been developed and established over the last two years which has allowed us to develop virtual pathways for patients with AMD,  Glaucoma and more recently Keratoconus.

Our Ophthalmology Department currently sees nearly 32,000 new patients per year and is active in shaping the strategy across the BSW (Bath, Swindon, Wiltshire) Eyecare Network and the BSW Hospitals Group.

We are pleased to be able to expand our optometry team with this new post which will complement the work being undertaken in our clinical diagnostic hub in the centre of Salisbury.  We are keen to develop Optometry led pathways to support medical colleagues to manage the ever-growing demand for secondary care Ophthalmology.
