Calling all compassionate and dedicated Registered Paediatric  Nurses and Registered Adult Nurses with paediatric skills !

Come and join our vibrant Children's unit at Salisbury Hospital and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young patients and their families. Our unit  consists  of Sarum Ward, Woodlands Day Assessment and Outpatients all designed to create a bright and welcoming environment for children and young people. The ward has 16 in patient beds for children aged 0-16 years, providing specialised care for a range of specialities including general paediatrics , orthopaedics , ENT and general surgery .

This unique opportunity allows you to gain specialist and high dependency skills whilst working in a district hospital setting. In addition we are a Paediatric Oncology Shared Care unit and link closely with Southampton University Hospital for children with oncology conditions , ensuring high quality holistic care for our patients.

As part of our close-knit team, you'll have the chance to work together with various departments within the hospital, including the Emergency Department, Day Surgical Unit, and level 2 NICU.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for nurses who are passionate about caring for children and making a positive impact on their lives. As a valued member of our team , you will have the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment .

You will need to be flexible and adaptable, working both on the ward covering various specialties  and in the adjacent Day Assessment Unit . You will be required to work a varied shift pattern that will include nights and weekends.

You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well within our multidisciplinary team .

You will be committed to providing a safe care with a compassionate and caring manner. You will have the ability to work with children and their families assessing, planning implementing and evaluating individualised family centered care.

  • NMC registration , Diploma , Advanced diploma or Degree in Nursing
Desirable criteria
  • QFC assessor or NMC approved mentorship qualification

Experience
