Come and join our friendly and motivated team of Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technicians (MOPTs) at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

The team are patient-facing, valued members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), providing medicines optimisation services across inpatient wards and the pre-operative clinic. 

The role focuses on medicines reconciliation on admission, and facilitating efficient discharge. The team work closely with pharmacists, doctors,  nursing staff, and the whole MDT. 

We work Monday to Friday 8.30am until 5pm, with no late night rota. We work 1 in 8 weekends with 1 Bank Holiday commitment per year. The weekend hours are: Saturday- 9.00am until 1pm and Sunday- 9.30am until 1pm, with a day off the following week.  

This a progression post, band 4 - band 5. Banding in dependent on experience.

Main duties of the job

 The team work across all adult in-patient wards within surgery, medicine and admissions teams, including a regular rotation through pre-op assessment, seeing and counselling patients in the clinical environment.
