Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and hardworking psychologist to join our clinical psychology (health) department at Salisbury District Hospital. Our department consists of clinical psychologists, CBT therapists, and counsellors, and is well-established and valued within the hospital and wider Trust. We work across the age-span, and with inpatients, outpatients, family members, and staff members.
This is a one-year fixed-term post to cover maternity leave. The role will predominantly include direct clinical work with patients and their families, alongside service evaluation, supporting pathway improvement projects, and upskilling colleagues in multi-disciplinary teams.
We are a friendly, dedicated, and supportive team, evidenced through our outstanding results on the annual Staff Survey. Members of the team gave particularly high positive scores for questions relating to their role, team, and leadership.
If you would like to know more about the Trust, department, or this role, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Main duties of the job

· To support the lead psychologist for cancer in implementing and evaluating service priorities and improvements.
· To prepare and deliver teaching sessions to staff and/or patients.
· To maintain contemporaneous clinical records in line with NHS record keeping and GDPR requirements.
