Job overview

An opportunity has arisen to appoint new people to join our friendly centralised team of reception staff working across a number of different outpatient reception areas within the Surgical Division.

We are looking for 4 people who are able to work within a team and with experience of working with the general public in a receptionist role, preferably within a health care environment.

The successful applicants will be able to offer flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

There are 4 posts available working the following hours:

Post 1

Part Time 15 hours per week working 08.30 to 17.00 Tuesday and Friday with one hour for lunch.

Post 2

Part Time 15 hours per week working 08:30 to 17:00 Thursday and Friday with one hour for lunch.

Post 3 and 4 will be for the Full time.

Main duties of the job

The staff in this role will work on a rotational basis, being responsible for working on a busy reception desk, receiving patients as they arrive in clinic, dealing with telephone enquiries and managing outpatient bookings. In addition they will form part of the team responsible for preparing case notes and clinic lists to ensure the smooth running of clinics.
