Job overview
Research Administrator
This is a key role within Great Western NHS Foundation Trust's Research & Innovation department. This is an exciting opportunity to play an
important part in facilitating the set-up of research projects across our Hospital's clinical specialties. By providing co-ordination and administration support, the post-holder will help to ensure high quality clinical research governance at the Trust .
The post-holder will also be involved in the implementation and maintenance of Research Management systems, in order to support corporate research objectives.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for updating and maintaining the research management system EDGE. The post holder will also be
responsible for the Trust approval process of all Research Amendments, and observational research studies. This includes reviewing the study
protocols to understand the impact the proposed activity has on the Trust in order to gain appropriate approvals, contract amendments and issue
continued Capacity and Capability.
The post-holder will also invoice against research finance schedules, and develop and implement systems for teams to maintain up to date source information to allow for raising of invoices where appropriate.
