Job overview
Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse who is ready for a challenge, the Colorectal and Breast Metastatic Nursing team is seeking a highly self-motivated practitioner, with a desire to promote and develop clinical excellence in clinical practice. The successful postholder will provide nursing support to inpatient / outpatient areas.
This is working within a highly emotive field of nursing where patients and families require specialised support.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will act as part of the nursing team and support point both in-patient and out-patient services to ensure patients receive appropriate management/treatment, aide their pathway and contribute to decreased length of stay.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- NMC Registered
- Masters Degree or willing to undertake within an agreed timescale
- Degree in relevant area
- Relevant post registration qualification in a specialist area
- Evidence of CPD
- Bronze IQT
Desirable criteria
- Advanced clinical practice;history taking nurse prescribing
- Recognised leadership and management
- Recognised teaching and assessing qualification
- Recognised advanced communication

Experience
Essential criteria
- Specialist knowledge and experience in cancer and speciality
- Experience of service development
- Able to perform clinical skills relevant to the speciality
- Experience of undertaking research and audit
- Post registration experience at band 6
- Experience and able to utilise all microsoft packages
- Experiencing of managing and interpreting highly complex communication situations and sensitive information
- Experience of leadership and managing staff
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of nurse led initiatives
- Experience of working to deliver the recovery package
- Previous experience of job planning
