Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Activities Coordinator to work on Clywedog Ward.

The new Activities Coordinator post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in order to plan, organise and facilitate a comprehensive range of individualised, group and one to one activities for the inpatients in the acute care setting.

Main duties of the job

They will promote and encourage appropriate, individualised level of patient participation and facilitate patient activities that promote social interaction, enhance self-esteem and help to maintain or enhance functional ability. 

Applicants for this vacancy need to have evidence of patient participation and the ability to care with warmth and understanding. The Band 3 Activities Coordinator is permanent and the post will be predominantly working Monday to Friday but a flexible approach will be required. The role will be supporting the ward nursing staff to ensure that the patients receive the best possible outcome and experience during their hospital stay.

The successful post holder will be required to support the Ward Senior Sister / Charge Nurse & Ward nursing team through ensuring high standards of care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
