Job overview
Applications are invited for the position of Community Nursing Administration Support Assistant. The post holder will work closely with the other team members and support the Children's Specialist Nurses and clinicians to provide and effective and efficient Service.
This is a varied role where the post holder will be expected to support the Children's nursing team’s day to day administrative activities which will include arranging outpatients appointments, processing outcomes, raising requisition orders for consumables for individual patients, dealing with day to day queries, typing of outpatient clinics and provide timely specific data reports. The applicant is expected to have confident and competent computer skills become skilled with a variety of IT systems required and used by the service. The ability to work well both independently and as a member of the team is essential and candidates will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills when managing an office.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will require excellent communication skills to deal with queries from patients, families and a variety of professionals from within the Acute service. Previous experience of working in the NHS and in the use of patient administration systems would be advantageous.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C and above or equivalent.
- RSA/OCR Level 2 or equivalent experience.

- NVQ Customer Service Level 2
Experience
