Job overview

The Radiology Department in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our bank of Radiographic Assistants within our  Radiology Department.

The department has recently undergone extensive re-modelling and improvement works.

This role will involve a combination of administrative tasks and clerical tasks as well as elements of direct patient care.

Successful applications must have excellent caring attributes, be capable of working within a team and on their own and have good interpersonal skills and be able to show initiative.

Main duties of the job

To assist the radiographers, radiologists and other members of the radiology multi disciplinary team by carrying out non-radiographic duties which include the care, preparation and management of patients presenting for radiological procedures, preparation of equipment, ordering of equipment via the online procurement system, reception and clerical duties and the processing of images as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
