Job overview

We are looking for a Band 7 Business Operations Lead to join the Business Management Team within our Specialist Adult Support Services (SASS) division.

In this role, you will be working across the entirety of the SASS division as a key member of the wider Business Management Team; assisting the Business Manager, Associate Director and Specialist Services Managers to drive and successfully deliver the following:

  • Service and quality improvement within SASS services by leading and contributing to audits, reviews and improvement projects.
  • Management and monitoring all areas of contract compliance & performance reporting through understanding, operating and overseeing the use of a range of systems and processes that help the division to achieve its priorities.
     

Main duties of the job

The role will:

  • Work closely with services where required to support the achievement of contractual & quality outcomes (this role will initially focus on supporting one of our Specialist Services through a period of transformation)
  • Lead & manage the effective introduction of equitable & consistent changes within services, ensuring benefits are realised & captured
  • Contribute to & deploy robust systems & processes to improve contract performance & smooth operational running, ensuring that there is consistency across all SASS services
  • Support the provision overall strategic management, business planning & developmenT
  • Contribute to the management & development of the Business Management team & administrative staff across SASS to provide resilience & consistency of services on a day-to-day basis, whilst ensuring long-term sustainability & development of services & consistency across the partnership

You will:

  • Use a variety of management techniques to influence, help shape culture & enable the development of services/staff through training & coaching to achieve good outcomes
  • Work directly & harmoniously with other colleagues such as SASS Managers / Clinical Leads, Business Partners, Operational Service Leads, and Corporate Services to develop and monitor service delivery, finance & performance across all services & geographies
  • Develop excellent working relationships at all levels across BNSSG SASS services; including operational services

  • Recognised post graduate management / leadership qualification.
  • Experience of operational management including managing and developing services in a variety of locations

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving and decision-making skills and evidences ability to make informed decisions whilst considering wider organisational impacts.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to think creatively and analytically to manage competing priorities and busy workloads and ensure both smooth operational running of the er locality / services with the ability to develop them further.
  • A good understanding of performance monitoring, corporate & financial data.
  • Excellent IT skills – including comprehensive knowledge of relevant IT packages - with the ability to use find, use and disseminate information using IT.
