A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Practice Development Facilitator / Clinical Skills Team Manager with Sirona CIC, the provider of innovative high-quality specialist community health and care services across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. This role is for 10-12 months for maternity cover, either 17 hours per week for 12 months or 21 hours per week for 10 months. 

 

This role is a key post within the Clinical Skills Team which is part of the Learning and Organisational Development & Design department in the People, Development and Communications Directorate.

 

 

Main duties of the job

This role will be responsible for supporting, advising on and delivering a wide range of learning and practice development activity across the organisation, working closely with operational teams and acting as the key interface between them and the Learning and Organisational Development & Design (LODD) Team. The post-holder will, through for the provision of high-quality training and development, help to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes.

 

They will lead and manage the Clinical Skills Team and oversee the clinical effectiveness of any clinical training delivery as required. In addition, ensuring that a wide range of LODD interventions and support are in place for staff and managers to develop the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours to be fully effective in their roles, enabling them to deliver a safe, effective and caring service.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience within a clinical role, coupled with significant training/development delivery experience
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of working in a team and an understanding of team dynamics
  • Leading and managing discrete pieces of work/projects to an agreed specification and time
  • Experience in multi-agency team working and developing relationships across organisational boundaries within health or social care
Desirable criteria
  • To have an understanding of Integrated Care Systems and working with system partner organisations, ideally across BNSSG

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • HCPC or NMC Registration.
  • A recognised Assessor/Mentor qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching qualification
  • Holds or working towards a Post Graduate Diploma or degree in management practice or HR/training (or equivalent level of experience).
