Job overview

Are you passionate about fostering an inclusive culture where staff feel valued, respected, and supported? Do you have the expertise and ambition to drive forward real change in equality, diversity, inclusion, and staff wellbeing?

We’re looking for a dedicated and visionary EDI & Wellbeing Lead to help shape the future of our organisation by embedding inclusive practice across our workforce and supporting the wellbeing of our people.

This pivotal role will lead the delivery of our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategy and staff health and wellbeing agenda, ensuring our systems, policies and behaviours reflect the values of Sirona care & health.

Taking a whole-systems approach, you will work closely with senior leaders, staff networks and wider stakeholders to develop and implement a long-term strategy. Your work will focus on inclusive leadership, culture change, and aligning our internal systems and structures with national and local priorities.

You will bring strong expertise in equality, diversity and inclusion, ideally within a healthcare or public sector setting. With excellent communication and influencing skills, you are confident working with senior leaders, guiding strategic direction, and delivering practical outcomes. You’ll have a deep understanding of the NHS context and the needs of a diverse, multi-professional workforce.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver the organisation’s EDI strategy and wellbeing programme, embedding inclusive practice across all areas
  • Support cultural and behavioural change through leadership development, policy, and system reform
  • Partner with senior leaders, HR teams and staff networks to co-design a responsive, forward-looking EDI service
  • Act as the subject matter expert on EDI, interpreting relevant legislation, national frameworks and best practice
  • Use data and insight to evidence progress, report impact, and inform improvement
  • Champion and influence the development of a culture that supports equity, fairness, belonging and staff wellbeing

Working for our organisation

Ever dreamt about a career that sparks excitement and fosters your professional growth? Picture yourself waking up eager to make a real difference in our community, surrounded by teams who value your unique ideas.

We are Sirona care & health – England’s largest provider of Adult’s and Children’s Community Services and we’d love for you to join us in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.

Agenda for Change Salary, full NHS benefits, 27+ days’ annual leave, and participation in the NHS Pension Scheme – just a glimpse of the benefits you’ll receive.

We welcome and encourage all applicants. We are committed to having a workforce that reflects the communities we support and are proactively seeking to improve the diversity of our workforce. We know diversity fosters creativity and innovation.

We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We aim to draw upon the widest possible range of views and experiences to meet the changing needs of our colleagues, partners and communities we serve.
