Admiral Nurses - Nationwide Clinics Programme

Help us bring specialist dementia support to more families in their local communities.

Our Clinics Programme, in partnership with Nationwide Building Society, is an innovative way of bringing Admiral Nurse support directly into local communities, providing face-to-face specialist dementia advice to those that need it the most. Since the partnership began in April 2024, over 7500 appointments have been delivered across more than 250 Nationwide and Virgin Money branches.

As an Admiral Nurse in our Nationwide Clinics Programme, you'll provide specialist nursing support to families affected by dementia through in-branch, face-to-face clinics across your geographical area. You'll offer practical advice, therapeutic support and expert guidance, helping families navigate the challenges dementia can bring.

We currently have two opportunities available in the South: one covering Kent and East Sussex, and the other covering Berkshire, Surrey and West Sussex.

About the role

You’ll use your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s.

You’ll support the development of a vibrant national network, working in collaboration with the Professional Engagement team and the regional clinical leads. You’ll also work with health and care professionals and Parkinson’s UK colleagues to respond to any threats to Parkinson's services and effect positive change.

Night Care Assistant

How you'll make a difference

As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of young people at Vinney Green Secure Children's Home in Bristol. Using your previous experience of working in a challenging care setting, you will provide support throughout the evening and overnight period, helping to create a secure and stable environment for the young people.

From carrying out regular nightly checks and helping young people feel reassured and settled, to being part of their morning routine, you will become a familiar face. Through your calm and patient approach, you will help put young people at ease and provide the consistency they need to feel safe and supported.

Working within a secure children's home can be both challenging and highly rewarding. The young people in our care often have complex needs and may have experienced significant trauma, so resilience, empathy and a willingness to support them through difficult circumstances is essential.

Alongside your salary, this role includes a secure unit allowance of £2,903.04 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours). You'll also benefit from a one-third enhancement on all hours worked and additional rates such as time and a half for rostered Sunday shifts and double time for bank holiday shifts.
