We have 2 posts, one based at Peterborough and one at Hinchingbrooke. The post-holder is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of stores, receipt, distribution, and materials management services, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of goods across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will support the Supply Chain Manager in ensuring that processes operate in line with statutory requirements, national procurement regulations, and the Trust’s Procurement Policy and Standing Financial Instructions. They will assist in the implementation of materials management activities, including inventory control, demand planning, stock optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives such as lean processes.

The role involves providing practical and responsive support to frontline staff and departments, resolving supply issues, and ensuring stock is managed effectively. The post-holder will be required to analyse routine and complex data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for service improvement.

In addition, the post-holder will liaise with suppliers and national supply chain partners to help maintain continuity of supply, responding to changing demands and escalations as required. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and support the wider team in meeting both planned and unplanned service demands
