We are really excited to be seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individuals to join a well-established Early Intervention Service. The Lancashire and South Cumbria EIS  (Early Intervention Service) specialises in working with individuals aged 14 and upwards who are at risk of, or currently experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

The Early Intervention Service is focussed on achieving national quality standards and delivering a high standard of care.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable applicant to be part of the developments within LSCFT Early Intervention Services in Fylde Coast area.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead on the development of the Fylde Coast Team. , to implement and deliver these changes whilst maintaining the philosophy of EIS and the promotion of recovery. They will be a key member of an enthusiastic management team with a commitment to improvement and innovative approaches to meet service users’ needs. 

We place a strong emphasis on professional and clinical supervision in order to support and develop individuals as part of our commitment to maintain our focus on delivering the highest quality clinical service

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Mental Nurse or aligned profession (RMN/OT/SW)
  • Post-registration professional development to degree level in a health-related subject or similar demonstrated experience or willingness to complete.
  • • Recognised as competent in assessment and teaching in clinical practice (eg ENB 998) or similar.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of contemporary practice within EIS / CAMHS services
  • Demonstrates knowledge of NHS change agendas and strategic service planning by the Department of Health
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills, incorporating flexibility and the ability to influence others.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in clinical supervision, caseload management, PDP cycles
  • Awareness of political, social and economical context within which the NHS operates
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and on own initiative.
