Job overview

We are looking for a caring and hardworking individual to join our multi-disciplinary team in the Ward Housekeeper role. This role involves providing housekeeping support for clinical aspects of care to support the nursing team and provide an environment that ensures the health, safety and prevention of infection within the unit.

We are looking for someone who has experience in working in laundry or cleaning services and is passionate about working with older people.

Main duties of the job

Ward 4 the Mount is an acute older peoples ward for females with functional mental illnesses. The role will be predominately to provide assistance with general cleaning and tidying of the ward. This will also involve supporting with patients with laundry, organising stores, and supporting service users at mealtimes and with refreshments. This role is vital for the effective running of the ward and ensuring high standards of patient care and wellbeing.
