Cleaning Assistant - Maternity Cover
Department Radiotherapy Centre
Band 2 £24,465 Per annum pro rata
Hours 20 per week, weekday evenings Monday to Friday 16.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
We are looking for a Domestic staff to cover maternity leave on a fixed term to join the existing team to provide a high-quality cleaning service at Milton Keynes University hospital new Radiotherapy Centre.
The Centre will bring the hospital’s cancer and radiotherapy services under one roof in a modern dedicated space.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to carry out duties as instructed to the required standard, to ensure the hospital is a clean, safe and welcoming environment at all times.

Floor Cleaning Duties
• Suction clean & dust control sweeping
• Damp and wet mopping
Deep Cleaning/Periodic Cleaning
In accordance with hospital policy & work instruction
Exit & Terminal Cleans

• Curtain changes
• Cleaning of cleaning equipment and signage

Qualifications and knowledge
Essential criteria
- General education to GCSE or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- NVQ level 2 Cleaning
- Basic infection Control certificate
Experience

- Previous cleaning experience

- Previous experience of working in the NHS
