Main duties of the job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Graduate Surveyor to join our Property Team. This is a key role supporting the Property Manager in delivering effective and efficient management across the Trust’s estate.

 The role requires the ability to interpret property data and legal documentation, manage records effectively, and work collaboratively across multiple sites. If you are working towards completion of RICS APC competencies and have a strong interest in property and estates management, we can support your development.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


•    Support the Property Manager in day-to-day estate management activities.
•    Assist with property inspections, surveys, and schedules of condition.
•    Maintain and update property and tenancy data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
•    Contribute to the management of leases, licences, and other property-related legal documentation.
•    Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal departments to coordinate property services.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Chartered Surveyor (Building Surveying) BSc Hons
  • Working to complete RICS APC competencies
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of Property Law
  • Accurate with high attention to detail
  • Experience of working to demanding timetables and exacting standards
  • Excellent communication skills ability to communicate with staff at all levels and external bodies
  • To be dependable, reliable, flexible with a willingness to learn, maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively prioritise own workload
  • Ability to always remain calm and professional
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Committed to continuing professional development
  • Able to analyse problems and develop solutions
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in an Estates /Property environment.
  • Operational experience drawing and design systems, (i.e., MICAD and CAD)
  • Knowledge and working experience of Property Law
  • Experience of managing complex property transactions
  • Experience of leading successful projects on time and within budgets
