Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated individual who has a keen interest in developing their knowledge and skills in the surgical care of patients. If you are interested in a new challenge and embrace innovation then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for a stores and equipment coordinator to come and work alongside our dedicated team. 

This role is vital in making sure that the department runs effectively and efficiently having the equipment needed. You will complete an in house training programme which incorporates all essential competencies required to be able to deliver safe, individualised, patient centred care.

Main duties of the job

You will:

  • To lead and coordinate the ordering and distribution of SDS/stores/other supplies and undertake delegated tasks related to stores ordering/stock control across the unit (Eye theatres and recovery).
  • To work collaboratively within the MDT, procurement, SDS, and other providers to maintain robust stores/SDS system/clinical documentation system.
  • To undertake other delegated duties in relation to the infection control program.
  • To support the Clinical Lead in the budgetary control of stores.
  • To assist the unit, pharmacy lead in the management of pharmacy deliveries.
  • Support the designated theatres equipment controller in the purchase and ordering of disposables.
  • To participate in the development of tracking/monitoring systems.
