Electrical Supervisor
Band 6
West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.
Job overview
Join our Estates & Facilities team as an Electrical Supervisor and take ownership of critical electrical systems across one of the most secure healthcare environments in the UK. Acting as the Authorised Person for LV and HV installations, you’ll ensure compliance with HTM-06 standards while managing planned and reactive maintenance. This role demands strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety. If you’re looking for a position where your expertise directly supports patient care and operational excellence, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Main duties of the job
You will take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems across a large, secure healthcare estate. Acting as the lead authority for electrical compliance, you’ll ensure all works meet HTM-06 standards and statutory regulations. Your duties include planning and supervising maintenance schedules, diagnosing and resolving complex faults, and coordinating both internal teams and external contractors to minimise downtime. You’ll manage resources effectively, maintain strict tool control, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential, alongside clear communication to explain technical issues to non-specialists. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement and energy efficiency
