Job Summary 

 Work with Healthcare Partners and Trust executives to design and deliver the Community Capital Projects Plan, engaging with national teams to government bodies for returns.

 

Main duties of the job

      Leads on operational Community projects for new builds and refurbishments to all relevant standards. The role will be based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford however it is anticipated that the main projects will be based at our community sites in Surrey with a crossover of projects requiring full collaboration with the Capital Project Manager at our Guildford site.

       Coordinate teams for projects

      Provide efficient and effective planning of Capital schemes and delivery of the Estates plan.

      Provide highly technical information to the client to enable correct decision-making project management advice to the Trust

       Ensure effective cost-efficient financial planning and delivery, cash forecasts, contracts

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in estates management or equivalent

·         Professional engineer or surveyor / or appropriate Estates- related technical qualification

·         Proven experience in project manager role, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·         Experience in healthcare industry preferable

·         Demonstrated ability to organise and manage multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment

·         Excellent understanding of construction projects

·         Strong leadership and management skills

·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Professional engineer or surveyor / or appropriate Estates- related technical qualification
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses and experience to Degree level equivalent
  • Evidence of further ongoing professional development and ongoing learning
Desirable criteria
  • Chartered membership of appropriate institute
  • Strong understanding / working knowledge of commerce and business finance

  • Significant and relevant Estates operational management at senior level
  • Management of operational Estates budgets
  • Planning and delivery of cost improvements
  • Making challenging operational management decisions
  • Implementation of Estates services strategies and action plans
