AfC Band 7

Job overview

A full-time, fixed term, opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated person with a desire to develop their clinical and leadership skills in oncology to join our proactive team at The Royal Surrey Hospital as a Band 7 - Macmillan Oncology Dietitian.

The Royal Surrey is an established regional unit for oncology and this role is to support the general oncology dietetic service. Working as part of our well established and respected team of 6 specialist oncology dietitians, your caseload will be very varied and you will work within several MDTs. You will be expected to provide specialist dietetic input to general oncology inpatients and outpatients attending the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre, as well as the private chemotherapy units in Guildford. As a senior member of the team you will have leadership responsibilities for managing the general oncology dietetic service. As a Macmillan professional, you will also have access to support for learning and development from Macmillan Cancer Support.

If you are an HCPC registered dietitian with experience and a strong interest in oncology, looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly and supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

You will join a forward thinking and innovative dietetic team, which undertakes the training of students, and is involved in teaching at the University of Surrey as well as supporting students with dissertation projects. This is an excellent opportunity in a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally.

We are committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive recruitment process. If you would benefit from additional support—such as meeting the recruiting manager or visiting the interview environment in advance—please let us know when applying
