Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Interventional Radiologists (Senior Medical Officers) who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and supportive team.

Our Interventional Radiologists manage patient care from diagnosis to recovery, with opportunities to work with advanced procedures, including endovascular, oncology, and transplant-related interventions.

Responsibilities may vary by position and could include some or all of the following:
• Peripheral vascular interventions
• Biliary drainage and embolisation
• Nephrostomy tube insertion
• Trauma embolisation
• Tunnelled IV access and fistula interventions
• EVAR/TEVAR procedures (opportunity to be involved if desired)
• Interventional oncology procedures, including trans-arterial        embolisation and image-guided ablation such as RFA, MWA, Cryoablation, and IRE

There are opportunities for Radiologists with general and/or subspecialty areas of interest in Interventional Radiology to join our teams and contribute to caring for our people.

About you
To work as an Interventional Radiologist (Senior Medical Officer) in New Zealand, you must become registered to practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Practitioners must meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. Salary and benefits

Senior Medical Officers receive 6 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, giving you time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary as a Senior Medical Officer, you will have an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance of NZ $16K (pro-rated for parttime employees), reimbursement of your registration and practising certificate fees and your professional indemnity insurance is covered by Health New Zealand.

Senior Medical Officers receive a base salary relative to their level of experience.
• Medical Officers annual salaries range NZ $142K - NZ $210K plus allowances
• Medical Specialists annual salaries range NZ $185K - NZ $267K plus allowances

Additional allowances are paid on top of base salary and vary due to location and service.
