Our Vision is to provide the best mental health, learning disability, autism, community, and physical health services for the populations we serve.

As an integrated Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) delivers a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
  • Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
  • Extensive community physical health and well-being services for children and adults, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term condition management.

The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,500 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. The organisation offers opportunities for medics, mental health, general nurses, children’s nurses, allied health professionals, psychology, administration and clerical staff, apprentices and volunteers, as well as those specialising in learning disabilities and community physical health services.

Would you like to be part of an adolescent mental health service which is innovative, forward-thinking and committed to enabling Young People who are experiencing mental health difficulties to recover and discover their potential?


We currently have 37.5 hours per week vacancies for a Qualified Nurse to work as part of the nursing team at The Cove, a QNIC accredited inpatient service in Heysham Lancashire. The primary focus of the role will be to provide quality care for young people aged 13 and up to their 18th birthdays that have acute mental health problems, in partnership with their families and carers.

The successful applicant will be part of the multi-disciplinary team of health and social care professionals.


The service provides assessment and treatment for young people from across the whole of Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The post involves a 24 hour working pattern covering days, nights and weekends.                              

                                                         
The successful candidate must have a genuine interest and a desire to work with young people within this age range.


To join the team you will need to be caring, compassionate, innovative, creative, flexible and highly motivated.  We are looking for a good communicator and team player.


Working with this age group is a specialist field that will provide you with a highly challenging and very rewarding career. Relevant training and supervision will be provided for all successful applicants as an integral part of their ongoing professional development.

  • Shift leader experience, delegating tasks and organising work duties.
