Job overview
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team at UHS Estates Ltd (UEL).
Please refer to the detailed job description below for more information about the role.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join UEL as an apprentice trainee to become an electrical or mechanical maintenance technician. The successful candidate will spend most of their time learning hands-on from our skilled team of on-site technicians in either the electrical or mechanical field and completing a technical course and MOET with one of our training partners. Your task will be to integrate yourself into the team, manage your time, and focus your learning with the available work, with support available from your line manager, mentor and the team itself. You will need to be physically fit and able to climb ladders and perform manual handling work.
We require 5 GCSE's or equivalent at C or above, and an interest in the electrical or mechanical fields. Excellent communication skills, any DIY or on-the-tools experience would be helpful towards the role. Relevant work experience and a passion for learning will help a candidate stand out.
This is a great development opportunity, and we have an excellent track record at retaining our apprentices in the technician role and developing them further.
